Pros
It is not a very bad place to start your career, if your work ex is less than 2 years, and you dont have much better alternative job in hand Would have a lot of responsibility, and would get to work of many aspects of the software development process Initial learning curve would be quick ( due to the stress) Timings are usually fixed, from 9 to 6:30, and no ovettime is required usually You can take unpaid leaves Occasional team lunch Accommodation is provided for a month if you have been relocated, and also the travel cost, and loan for home deposit
Cons
Extremely stressful and unfriendly management . The CEO wouldn't treat you like a person, but just a tool to get the work done, with no respect or professionalism The starting salary is very low The notice period is 3 months, which is not usual, and would be very difficult to switch a job with that kind of a notice period Only 10 annual leaves were provided Even occasional short absence for personal work is not welcome, and every 5 minutes are considered Work culture is really bad. Everyone is stressed, and no casual conversations are allowed. Misbehaviour by the CEO, shouting and insulting in front of other employees is a routine There are no incentives, or ease or rest on special days. Everyday is the same, whether its a friday, or the day before the new year eve, or a day before a long vacations There is no growth of the company. It has been of the same size as it was 10 years back when it was founded The team size is very small, never exceeds 4-5 employees ever All the employees are unhappy, and are working just until they can find another job The technologies being used are completely outdated No software development process or methodically is used. No proper management, no team, no roadmap, no sprints, no transparency I personally feel that the company started 10 years back with great promises and vision, but it lost its way and couldn't make it big
