Pros
Pay is based of Nevada minimum wage, therefore pay is good depending where you live.
Cons
Company has no loyalty, nor do they appreciate that or dedication. They falsely advertise that they are "family oriented" and "pro-worker" however, as soon as the busy season passes, they first cut hours from 40 hours a week to 24, only to then terminate your employment when the store "doesn't have enough revenue". When I joined the company I received assurances that this would be a long standing employment, however, as soon as the 5th of July, they began cutting workers, I chalked it up to "well they were seasonal, I've been assured that I am full-time". That however was exceptionally untrue, the management, and corporate officials will lie to your face about your job security, then when called out when terminated will lie about ever giving you their assurances. If you are looking for a few weeks of work near July fourth or New Years, then by all means work for them, however understand you can show up everyday, sell hundreds of thousands of fireworks, but as soon as the season passes, you are immediately up for the chopping block. However as soon as you look at their employment page they will act as if they are sympathetic, and appreciate you as a worker. In the end, it doesn't matter if your GM says "I only started working here because I came to see the environment, and your interaction is what solidified me wanting to work here" or if you entirely set up the rigging on their fireworks demonstrations, or if you man Mike's camera for him and help advertise the store and host a live-stream for the good of the store, or even use past certifications that were not part of the job to help the store (in my case, using a scissor-lift which I am licensed for to decorate the store) you are entirely disposable. It is a shame that they try to set up a social contract and pretend to value workers only to be shown how disposable and unappreciated you are.
