Pros

- Good pay - Good benefits, 75% off southwest trains, free ferry travel and discounted food. - Great on board team - Old ships however provided great experience

Cons

- Working hours are long - Small engineering team on board (CE and Mech) makes it hard to take a break.

While we are pleased that you would recommend us and you feel that the great onboard team, good benefits & pay are all pros, we are sorry to hear that you feel the working hours are long. Our rostered working hours are planned to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation (including some early or late shifts) but these are typically on a 4-on 4-off rota basis and we would like to reassure you that our shift durations & rest breaks adhere to both the MCA and the Working Time Regulations . We appreciate your feedback and taking time to share your views and if you would like to discuss your concerns further, please reach out to your Senior Chief Engineer, Technical Superintendent or another member of the Operations Management Team.

Pros

4 on 4 off shift pattern. Good annual leave and other benefits such as 75% of SWR trains and free travel to the IOW. People were great to work with.

Cons

Zero appreciation for staff which is why everyone good leaves. Not the best pay for what we have to put up with. Senior managements lack of involvement with the operations, they don’t have the faintest idea of how anything works. Very poor career progression opportunities and often internal vacancies are given to people based on who they like rather than who is actually competent.

We appreciate each and every colleague, and feel that we offer a fair remuneration package. We work with recognised trade unions on our annual pay reviews and indeed feel that our salaries remain competitive. We are delighted to have recently welcomed a new Operations Director to our Senior Leadership team, Neil, who is keen to be involved in all operational areas of the business, and we look forward to the positive impact he will bring. Pros

Literally only the passengers and the staff members in my role any hire then they don’t want to know you

Cons

Bad management Poor planning No staff constantly Target on back constantly It’s seems to be one thing for a somone and different for the other so basically discrimination Do not open up to this company because they will drug test and alcohol test u causing you more stress Straight up do not work for this company Minimal wage even tho you stay till half 12 at night and have to lock up and set alarms
