Deceiving - Brand Ambassador RedSeven Marketing Employee Review

Pros

You get to learn about how to NOT do sales

Cons

It is cold-calling, door-to-door sales, and they do not tell you that until you actually start the job. You have to stand up for 8-10h a day, with no breaks, knocking on at least 100 doors, to get at least someone to sign up for whatever you are selling. There is NO SALARY, just commission. Plus the company tries to give you too much "motivation" which is a clear sign of a really bad role role: good roles don't need all that life-coaching BS to motivate you, you just enjoy it.

I am sorry to hear about your less than positive experience with us at RedSeven. I am not sure how you wouldn't have learned about the nature of the role before starting but we would want to understand more about your candidate experience to know how this wasn't clearly explained before being offered a role? Our adverts do state that our Brand Ambassadors earn 100% commission which we appreciate doesn't suit everyone's work or lifestyle but we have many Ambassadors who thrive in this way and earn what they are worth compared to a fixed, restricted amount. I doubt we will stop supporting and encouraging our team as sales, in it's nature, involves rejection and set backs so when someone is relatively new it can help their mentality to prevent them from giving up (similarly to how an athlete has a coach to help them improve). We would really like to hear in more detail where we fell short in your journey with us so please either give us a call or send me an email at nina@redsevenmarketing.co.uk and I would be happy to discuss this with you further and for us to take necessary action to improve. Nina

Pros

As a core member of the team here at RedSeven, I am so proud of the team that I work alongside. We truly value hard-working individuals who are keen to develop personally and professionally, and we always champion one another's successes. It's great to be part of a team with incredibly high energy and enthusiasm for what we do. I have developed so many skills throughout my time here so far, and Rob, the Managing Director, is always available for advice and support, which I really value. I highly recommend RedSeven for anyone looking for a career with lots of opportunities for progression.

Cons

It's not a downside, but you need to be an enthusiastic and confident communicator, ambitious to succeed in what you do, and happy working in a fast-paced environment.

Pros

Team atmosphere was fine. Everyone I interacted with was friendly.

Cons

The job was not as advertised ("sales management trainee" on LinkedIn). Instead, it was: come to the office early, travel far away, and get people to sign up for charity donations in public spaces. You can only earn a commission-based pay, depending on a person signing up for donations, while the job posting mentioned a base salary. A day can last around 10-12 hours, and there's barely any time to rest or make time for other commitments. The work/life balance was not looking promising at all.
