Pros

If you are sick of working for a big corporation where you're seen as just a number, you'll love the transition to Reema Health. Great team of people working hard to fulfill an amazing mission. Happy to be at an organization that values listening to their employees, being curious and trying new things. I suggested an idea to the CEO once and was surprised when he shifted the companies focus to supporting this new project centered around engaging hard to reach individuals, to help them meet their social and health care needs. The experience and skills I've gained while working at this start up in just the last 15 months has been more impactful than working at my last 2 jobs that were both fortune 500 companies.

Cons

Working at a startup in the healthcare industry has its challenges. Trying to sell an innovative solution in an industry that is so used to the status quo is often met with a lot of skepticism from customers. The health plans I sell to are large organizations that can take a lot of time to come to a decision.

Pros

You get to help the community.

Cons

Serious concerns around workplace professionalism and boundaries. I experienced being personally targeted by another employee, including having my personal social media and private information shared within the workplace, including with management, who did not intervene. This information was independently obtained and shared without my consent or direct connection. Leadership also engaged in gossip instead of providing direct feedback or addressing issues appropriately. There was a heavy gossip culture and a lack of appropriate leadership addressing inappropriate behavior and bullying directly.
