Pros

The team I worked with was an absolute delight & not enough good words in the dictionary to describe my my line manager, unfortunately that’s where it ends.

Cons

I took a 2.5k drop in basic to join this place with the long term dream they sold me in the interviews. With the job offer got told had to wait 6 months to start, odd, why not just say in the interview stages when that’s that’s something that was already decided? Before starting get asked to do a hybrid role, I said sure, asked if I could still do my main role that I got the job for and wanted to join Reeves for definitely as part of that hybrid set up, got told ‘yes’. I start and on day 1 get given a training booklet for a completely different role which 1 means I got lied to & 2 after making this decision certain individuals didn’t have the decency to give me a heads up and see if I am okay with it before starting. They just let me start and assumed it’s fine. Months pass… I’m still not doing what I went there for, by this stage my personal development has been absolutely flatlined for about 8-months just because of what feels like immaturity, incompetency and dishonesty, a lack of care for peoples feelings or personal development. Now mind you during this period I still always did everything I could to go above and beyond. There’s more to it but you get it…. No hard feelings, blessing in disguise as I am right where I need to be now, just trying to prevent other individuals who really try their best for there employers from potentially going through the same thing.

Pros

Pay was acceptable for some roles and the business could provide varied experience due to moving staff across departments. Some nice people.

Cons

A deeply unhealthy workplace culture where inappropriate behaviour was too often tolerated and concerns did not appear to be taken seriously. Professional boundaries felt inconsistent, and conduct that would be unacceptable in many modern organisations could be brushed aside or normalised. Management standards felt weak and inconsistent. Favouritism appeared to matter more than competence, with some individuals protected while others were criticised or overlooked. Accountability did not seem to apply equally. There was little sense of fair progression, with roles and opportunities appearing to be handed out informally rather than through transparent internal processes. Hard work and capability did not always feel recognised. The environment could feel cliquey, exclusionary and at times demeaning, particularly if you did not fit the preferred social dynamic. Raising genuine concerns risked being labelled oversensitive rather than being supported. Overall, this was not a workplace that inspired trust, respect or confidence in leadership.
