The company is at a stage where it needs to think about the future and act less like a startup. This is natural, and a good fit some some people that want to join. It might not be what others are looking for.

Need to have a good internal drive and strong self-management skills to thrive in the culture. Working in distributed teams/asynchronous comms means communication can easily become siloed if you're not seeking interaction and providing updates.
