Pros

Exposure to a large volume of real-world legal cases across IP, corporate, and compliance domains, accelerating professional growth. Opportunity to work directly with startups, entrepreneurs, and businesses from various industries, providing valuable commercial awareness. Involvement in end-to-end legal processes, from client consultation and documentation to filing and case management. Dynamic work environment that encourages problem-solving, ownership of cases, and continuous development of legal and communication skills.

Cons

Managing client expectations can be challenging, particularly when approval timelines are dependent on government authorities. Delays, technical glitches, or downtime on government portals as well as Insite portal can sometimes impact filings, submissions, and case progress.

Pros

Leaving the company is the best thing

Cons

I recently quit a firm in Gurgaon, and honestly, the relief is huge. I was hired for operations, but my day felt like a never-ending sales marathon because the actual sales team would make impossible promises to clients just to close deals, then disappear. I was the one getting called a 'fraud' by angry customers while commuting 12 hours a day for a 6-day work week on minimum wage. The breaking point was during a 'review drive' in April. Management promised us ₹100 for every review we brought in. I managed to get 15 reviews in just three days, thinking it would help with the low salary, but they never paid a single rupee. It’s one thing to have a heavy workload, but being forced into every department’s mess while being lied to about incentives is another level. How do you deal with companies that expect you to be a 'jack of all trades' for basic pay? Is it even worth trying to navigate the culture in these small 'Lala' setups, or is jumping ship the only real option?
