Pros

There is a passionate commitment to excellence at all levels of the organization in all positions including our Owners. There are significant opportunities for those folks who thrive in an environment where there is tremendous appetite for individuality and curiosity. Related is a place for courageous people who want to make a difference... a difference in their own lives and in the lives of all the people Related touches. If you need your hand held, Related is not a great fit; if you are all about figuring things out and acting on them, you have hit the jackpot. Ingenuity, creativity, tenacity, vigilance, energy, humor, and courage and the foundation that make us what we are.

Cons

Related moves at a lightning pace; it is not unusual for great work to go by without "in-the-moment" thanks. But that is only IN THE MOMENT. It isn't forgotten, it just can happen way after the fact. It is not unusual for people to have to "make noise" in order to be acknowledged. But... making noise is not judged harshly. Real estate is a very tough world... in all companies. There is an expectation that everyone at all levels will understand it is their job to take care of themselves and never back away from asking for help when they need it. For some people this is a big con... they are waiting for Related to think about them before they think about themselves. For those who thrive in this environment, it is a gift. There is little appetite for people who are looking for shortcuts, or doing less. The bar is set VERY HIGH; in many cases too high for what many find comfortable. Nothing is easy at Related; those who thrive are looking for easy; those who do not thrive... are.

Pros

Worked in my home town

Cons

I have found manager has been dishonest and is very conniving. In my opinion she mixes the truth with deceit. She uses erasable pens when signatures and dates are needed on legal document. Documents that are signed by tenants in both locations. I have witnessed when a tenant is about to sign they ask Ms. Q if they should leave the date section blank. She would tell tenants (at times) to not date their signature, for whatever reason. Basically, erasable ink can be altered at a later time. Legally, this does not stand in the court of law. An Audit was recently performed, who would’ve thought to check ink integrity on legal documents. I had to log into her account in order to do some work while she monitors.
