Pros

I had previously left a positive review, so I felt the need to update as things have gone drastically downhill in the last 12 months. I learned a lot in my time at Relative, and made some genuinely great connections. Most of these people have now left (either willingly or through redundancies). The office location is good and compensation is okay. The mission and backstory of the company are interesting and I see the product's potential.

Cons

The CRO has created a truly awful company culture, dictated by his moods. When things aren't going well or he is stressed, he takes this out on the whole business. He does not know how to take constructive feedback. In my opinion, he is a bully. The inner circle talk badly about current and former employees behind their backs. Sometimes this is passed off as "banter", but most of the time it is just cruel and not funny. In January 2023, the company made a whole team redundant seemingly out of nowhere and after promising that things were okay. This was the beginning of the end. They are churning customers by over-promising and under-delivering. Their attitude is to fill any revenue gaps in whatever way they can, which leads to sales promising things that can't be done in product or mis-selling. The Customer team is then left to clean up the mess and somehow figure it out. There were very few product improvements in the last 8-ish months that I was there, despite myself and others regularly sharing product feedback directly from customers to the c-suite. They do no real customer research or testing and don't seem to have a sensible way of prioritising updates. Right before I left, there were voluntary redundancies in the Product team, so I can only imagine this will get worse. They stopped doing employee satisfaction surveys because they didn't believe the feedback employees were giving them, even though it was consistent across teams. I gave feedback directly to the CRO and others on how I thought the company could improve employee experience for months before I finally handed in my notice, and was given platitudes and empty promises in return. They even hired a Customer Success consultant to advise, but nothing ever came from this in my time at the company, even months after she had interviewed the team. There is a lot of favouritism and nepotism in the company. Many people who get promoted and do well have worked with senior leadership at other companies. At least 7 people have handed in their notice since October 2023. This is notable in a company of this size and a sign that this company is a sinking ship. I truly feel sad about leaving this review, as I really enjoyed a lot of my time at Relative. Unfortunately, it is how people are treated during times of hardship that show you a company's true culture and Relative Insight has revealed it's true colours. I would avoid at all costs.

Pros

Starting my career journey fresh out of grad school, working at Relative Insight was an absolute pleasure. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such an incredible team and would highly recommend Relative Insight. Company Culture: From day one, Relative Insight's leadership team went above and beyond (literally) to make me feel valued and welcomed. In my time at Relative Insight, I can honestly say I never experienced a negative interaction with anyone. They truly prioritize their people, making it a joy to come to work every day. Leadership: James Cuthbertson, our Chief Revenue Officer, epitomized leadership and enthusiasm. Cutty was a role model who led by example, motivating the commercial team with his actions as much as his words. His “work-hard play-hard” mentality made my experience working at Relative Insight both fulfilling and enjoyable. The same goes for our VP of Sales, Rachel Banks. Quarterbacking our sales team, Banksy’s work ethic inspired us to exceed targets, set new standards of excellence, and make a lot of money in the process. Transitioning to an Account Management role, I had the privilege of working closely with Marcus Pemberton, our VP of Customer Success. Marcus was a natural leader and imparted the skills needed to successfully manage client relationships. His support was invaluable, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from him. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Cons

I wish I could have worked in person with the UK team year around.

Pros

The platform has the potential to be truly revolutionary--it's easy to use and brings so much value to engaged/creative customers. The people are a pleasure to work with--they come to work and are the best versions of themselves, willing to help wherever needed. If you're into text and language, come bring your passion to Relative. The team is still quite small so there's an opportunity to make a difference if you come in with confidence!

Cons

Could be more team cohesion/team buy-in. Would like to see speedier platform development.
