Pros

Note: It's important to understand that Reply is a group of 150+ small companies, each with different specialisms and are all called 'something' + Reply e.g. Blockchain Reply. They are always buying or creating new startups so be careful reading these reviews as they'll likely apply to a particular company and not neccessarily yours. The companies are managed more or less independently, with shared services such as HR and finance. This means that you may have a very different experience to someone else in a different Reply company so it's a complete gamble whether you'll enjoy your time at Reply or not (not neccessarily a pro or a con, but it's something be aware of). It is a fast moving consultancy, you will be placed in front of customers and wear many hats right from the beginning. It is a great place to work after graduation to experience different roles and learn a lot. You have the flexibility to try things at Reply, I have done everything from working at expos for business development through to managing large projects. It is a great opporunity to try many things and allows you to find something you enjoy doing within the tech industry.

Cons

The company is run by an Italian family since its inception in 1996 and is huge in Italy but little-known elsewhere. Higher up in the hierarchy you will start to notice a strong sense of nepotism, friends and family are often placed in positions they may not neccessarily have the experience or skills to be effective in. This disheartens others, particularly those who are more than capable of senior roles but won't get the chance as they're not part of the 'Italian bubble'. Work can become extremely stressful at times. Workloads are high but add that to the fact that things are disorganised and you need to be careful not to go into meltdown, it's not for the faint of heart and I saw multiple consultants burn out over the course of my time there. As you climb the ladder, the pressure to justify your salary by meeting targets grows. With every new position (Senior Consultant, Manager, Senior Manager, etc), pressure grows as the person above you is under even more pressure. You'll get to the stage where you become frustrated and you lose patience with the people you manage, you won't even recognise yourself. I don't know how people are able to stay in these roles long-term.
