Pros

Casual work environment, most coworkers are friendly, regular free food, family events, nice office and location.

Cons

This company has been on the decline for a few years now and it would surprise me if they continue to operate for much longer. RSR hires many talented individuals but rarely tends to hold on to them as turnover rates are astronomical. Between mass walkouts, layoffs, and firings, you never know if you will be working with the same team a few months from now. Promotions and substantial raises are rare and only occur if someone above you leaves the company. Management keeps all information top secret, which leads many employees to believe that shady business practices are taking place. Conflict resolution is handled terribly, leading to a list of lawsuits filed by some people in the company. I would not recommend working here or doing business with RSR, as you would be supporting a company that engages in behavior that most would consider unethical and extremely risky.

Pros

Really close team leads to good communication, and makes for a very fun place to work.

Cons

Small team doing lots of work, it can be stressful but it also helps build your skills in every aspect of software development.

Pros

Most of the people are really great. The majority are fun and laid back. Relaxed dress code, although some should be talked to regarding innapropriate attire.

Cons

They dazzle potential new employees by making them feel important and wanted. They claim to offer great salaries, benefits, vacation, and the opportunity to move up. The benefits are average. Some people are offered way too much money for their role while others are low balled. People only "move up" because people keep quitting. The turnover is so high that it's a running joke of "who quit this week?" The training - You mean: just get thrown out there and see what happens? I've never worked somewhere were there was so much drama, secrets, hush hush topics. The managers and other uppers will lie to your face and stab you and your coworkers in the back. I have no idea how they make any money because they are not providing a quality service and yet the CEO is rolling in the dough. There are no policies and procedure put into place yet they have been around for 10+ years. I wouldn't trust anyone there. The positive reviews on this site are completely fake, much like the uppers and their credibility.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Our employees are our best assets as we have mentioned before. We encourage a laid back atmosphere here at RSR. We work hard but play hard too as some would describe our atmosphere. We do currently have many policies and procedures in place for business operations and relations as of today. We also have a training program set up for every department. As we continue to grow all of these areas are modified and grow to help us run a successful business for our employees and clients. We are always trying to improve RSR to provide the best working environment possible so I would love the opportunity to talk with you about your experience in detail. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience at abby.shanks@residentialscience.com.
