Pros
Nice location and the Houston company seems to be growing rapidly. Nice benefit and PTO.
Cons
Expect to work 7am-7pm and an extra 2-3 hours while at home. Heavy work load with extremely limited resources and strict unrealistic deadlines. You're always expected to pull a rabbit out of a hat and to add insult to injury, heavily criticized or undermined before, during and after completion of the work. Very demoralizing atmosphere and despites numerous complaints/subtle hints, upper senior management still don't realize that we're human beings and not machines. The best time(s) of the day/week/month is when we know our senior boss is not in town. The energy is boosted, happiness quadrupled, excitement is contagious and everyone is working with the peace of mind that they're not going to be criticized or undermined for expressing themselves or even making a mistake as simple as dropping a pin on the floor. The normal dull, depressing, anxious, tense, nerve wrenching atmosphere is back once our senior boss is around. If I wasn't living off pay checks, I would have been out a long time ago. I'm working on it, as what I thought was a dream has been nothing short of a nightmare.
