Engineering management is constantly infighting and makes even simple changes a months-long headache. Hiring is mostly directed to Indian consulting firms and has resulted in a lot of low-performing ICs. Code quality is atrocious, automated systems & infrastructure are largely absent, and on-call cycles don't include the contractors most likely to break the code.
Efforts to improve the quality and stability of the system are often dismissed as a waste of time and money but then day after day will be spent troubleshooting and fixing the same issue over and over.
Product management is fully incompetent and hardly understands how to run a sprint let alone decide what is the highest priority task at hand.
