Pros

Some talented individuals have come through the organization, and the concept behind the product has promise.

Cons

The company suffers from a lack of strategic direction at the executive level. The CEO does not appear to demonstrate the leadership qualities or long-term vision needed to guide the company effectively. Much of the organization’s survival seems to depend on personal and family financial backing rather than strong performance or innovation. There is a consistent pattern of deflecting accountability. Leadership frequently blames others for setbacks and makes abrupt staffing changes. High-performing employees are often reclassified as underperforming with little transparency, which has led to a culture of instability and distrust. Employee turnover is extremely high—most team members do not stay longer than a year. Many of the overly positive reviews seem questionable, especially those claiming the company has “no cons,” which is unrealistic for any workplace. The product is behind the curve compared to competitors like Ramp and Brex, and client churn appears to reflect broader operational issues. The lack of strategic focus and the high rate of internal and external turnover raise serious concerns about long-term sustainability.

Pros

Everyone I work with is very ambitious, kind, and talented! We move quickly, and the work feels rewarding. Despite this place being a fintech startup, the in-house marketing team here serves an important function and the CEO is very invested and involved in our processes. A lot of opportunity and room to grow, and I appreciate that we can experiment with different tactics and take creative risks on my team. Love the office location, so much good food nearby, our kitchen is always stocked with snacks, and we regularly get catered breakfasts, pastries, and lunches in the office which has been lovely.

Cons

There are many moving pieces at any given time, timelines are always being moved around, pushed, and pulled forward, so it can often feel like a continuous sprint. Both a pro and a con is that it's very scrappy. We're building the plane as we're flying it, and there's a lot of opportunity to define a new process and try things out to make our internal workflows more efficient. However, that in itself can be burdensome at times and slow down the team.
