Pros
- Good and capable people
Cons
- Lack of Direction: It's impossible to get things accomplished with goals, KPIs, and teams change constantly, and many times not logically. - Under-managed High Performing Employees: Ritual hired a lot of smart people and made them do low quality work for way too long. It's great to get people started at the bottom doing tasks to learn, but there was very little management of resources. There was a lot of great smart hard working employees being completely under-utilized. - Lack of Autonomy: Lots of great managers (GMs), but they were given very autonomy or little opportunity to run their teams appropriately, which didn't allow them to succeed at the capacity they could -Little Transparency: Really hard to feel like a part of the team when decisions come from no where with no transparency and you have to immediately adapt. - Distant CEO: CEO didn't even show up to our company quarterly meetings. Not bought in at all. I understand it must be so hard to fun a company for 5 years and be motivated, but for the sake of your 300+ employees, you have to show up and share the vision. At least 4 times a year (for quarterly results).
