Pros

Most of my coworkers are wonderful and all of us share common values. If you somehow can ignore the dysfunction and the lack of communication and invisible corporate culture it’s a great place.

Cons

No clear progression in roles or compensation. No formalized corporate communication structure - very little formalized corporate structures at all - like virtually no HR! It’s all coming soon but right now it’s chaotic.

Thanks for your review. As a tenured member of Rivian, I’m sure you’ve seen firsthand the growing pains that come with our pace of growth and how challenging it is to ensure communication is as effective across 2,000 people as it was across 200. Knowing that, we are building our HR and Internal communication teams to support our rapidly increasing needs. We are optimistic that you’ll see these scale related problems addressed with new programs rolled out this year. Please take advantage of our new feedback channels, including reaching out to our People Team or anyone of our executives. Thanks again, the Rivian Team.

Pros

- Great exposure to the product - Amazing teammates, boots on the ground collaboration - Onboarding is really well done - they take this part seriously and I appreciate that.

Cons

- Limited growth - Constantly worried whether your department is getting laid off. - I've worked at plenty of other startups and EV companies and this one is by far the worst. - Zero job security unless you're JR
