Business outlook
Pros
The flexibility to handle family issues and balance other roles is excellent. Truly summers off for faculty and while there is some reward for publishing and grant writing, it is not a requirement for the job. The health benefits were excellent.
Cons
The pay was not competitive compared to similar institutions even without grant requirements. When I left, management was working to increase pay rates to comparable rates.
