Pros
Far and away one of the best places to learn and grow both technically and professionally in the bay area. Constant exposure to startups and a myriad of businesses, networks, and new technology. Boredom is impossible here if you're on the technical delivery side of the organization and self starters that may not need a lot of day to day direction will thrive here. Organizational maturity has been the focus over the past 1.5 years or so and it's definitely shown and become apparent in all levels of the organization. Leadership is calm, poised, and has eyes on the future. Company provides 100% paid healthcare, dental, vision and anyone who says the benefits are not fantastic for a very small business obviously do not have much work experience outside of the bay area tech bubble. 401k, unlimited PTO, business travel expenses, and easy to understand company policies and procedures round out the offerings well. Pay is in line with the field and based on real world experience and certifications however expectations are skewed due to bay area tech salaries often inflated and often unrealistic or sustainable. This is a boot strapped company, not a startup with VC cash to burn. Look elsewhere if thats your end game. Company tools and infrastructure and tried and true and top notch.
Cons
Culture has changed over the years of my employment here mostly due to growth and turnover. Some would argue however that it's been for the better and is also just a product of many of the core employees just "growing up" a bit. Company fun and activities could use a shot in the arm. Work can be stressful, but when is IT work not stressful? If this is something you're not prepared for or expecting then consulting or IT in general may not be the best field for you. People who need constant direction and guidance may struggle to adapt. We're a throw you to the wolves kind of company and those who can swim with the sharks will find themselves taking on more responsibility and more advanced technical projects and clients quickly.
