Great Place to Grow - Anonymous employee Roem Development Employee Review

If you are in acquisitions/development/construction, you will learn all aspects of the multifamily business. Employees are knowledgeable and good at what they do. There are no jerks at ROEM and co-workers are respectful. At the associate level and above, you will have a private office. The non-private offices are still spacious. The CEO is exceptionally kind and approachable. You will have plenty of face time. His success and track record are clear in ROEM’s multiple decades of completed projects and thousands of units constructed.

No job is suited for everyone. Some may prefer a more corporate environment or a larger company or an office in an urban downtown or WFH. I didn’t find major cons that were unique to ROEM.

Small company feel; everyone knows everyone, close to freeway for commute, some snacks provided, good coffee, patio for breaks & al fresco lunching, company paid gym membership

Non executive employees underpaid, benefits are mediocre, constant turnover, lack of truly conscientious bonus scheme; hardworking rank & file get meager bonuses while executive staff who delegate the bulk of their work get highly compensated
