Cons
At Room 214 you will find a highly generalist advertising agency which has tried to identify a niche for years but takes whatever work comes in the door to this day. There is little management structure, no career growth and absolutely no accountability for poor management decisions. All of the blame at Room 214 flows down to the people who did the labor. Room 214 resembles a kids' playground where an inner "clique" decides who is laid off, who gets raises and who is important within the company. There is no business-related ethos behind those decisions as it's simply an in-crowd, more pronounced than any organization I've ever been a part of (professional or otherwise).
Room 214 has laid off ~30% of their workforce in the past year. Those layoffs have been strictly to the "worker bees", where the middle and upper management have remained safe and sound. The balance between "workers" and "management" at this company is getting close to 50/50, which means 50% of the employees do 100% of the actual labor.
The business model of a generalist agency is drying up, and Room 214 is a case-study of that.
