Pros
Rover has been an amazing opportunity to be part of something greater then one's self. As an individual who likes to join companies and make a big impact - it is very humbling to see that many others at Rover strive to do the same thing. As a result of hard work, partnership, cross-functional interaction and most importantly peer-level accountability Rover is on course to be one of the best places I may ever work. One of the common threads that impresses me the most is the prevalence of technical expertise when it comes to SQL, data mining and data visualization at all levels within the organization. It is more common then not that an individual you are working with in the company has the analytical know-how to query data by writing SQL from scratch. Data is important in every decision being made. But equally important - a narrative is required as well. Management emphasizes the need to have a narrative to support the data being presented. One without the other is incomplete.
Cons
Meeting heavy culture Slack outweighs email
