Silversea Manila - Sales Butler (aka Silver Concierge) Royal Caribbean Group Employee Review

Pros

-Offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. -A prestigious, globally recognized brand that adds significant value to a professional resume. -Features a highly collaborative culture; specifically, the PH and UK teams provide exceptional synergy, with standout leadership support from the UK Silversea management.

Cons

- The environment feels overly "BPO-centric." Management frequently implements nonsensical changes under the guise of "business needs," without considering the operational impact on the floor. - Because the Sales Butler role is new (1 year 6 months), we are treated like a "test lab." This leads to constant experimentation and a major disconnect with the UK team. - 6 people cannot support all of UK/EMEA. We are severely shorthanded and need at least 4 more people to handle the constant, last-minute task changes. - Given that the role is primarily administrative and email-centric, the current hybrid mandate lacks a clear performance-based justification. A transition to full remote work would likely improve productivity and morale without affecting output.

Pros

The people - hardworking, honest and like family. The vision of the company - groundbreaking and innovative The benefits - cruise benefits for employees & friends and family Work from home Fridays Week off in December for the holidays Little Cruisers onsite daycare

Cons

Little to no flexibility in work hours. They preach a work life balance but then send out weekly "clock in/clock out" reports to supervisors, making a big deal if you are not logging your 8 hours in the office, but then do not take into account the afterhours that are being put in at home, sometimes on vacation and while traveling for work.
