My experience was great. 8 years. I needed a change but it wasn’t the company.

I think salary increases are tough unless you fight for them

As a young engineer, I am loving the smaller firm feel. Although the pay might not be as much as compared to bigger firms, I am learning so much by not being pigeonholed into doing one thing (which will happen at a large firm). SK also pays time and a half for overtime so there's always an incentive to work a little extra to meet deadlines. It is family owned who love throwing Friday happy hour events. It has been a joy working for them as a young professional.

There really aren't any cons that I can think of. Most of our work is done in the KC metro area so I guess if you're looking to travel with work, you won't find it here very often.
