Pros

You're work has a purpose. Work/Life Balance was great because you were able to work out of your own residence (this may have changed a bit since I've been there). You make your own schedule to meet with youth in the programs. If you do well with your caseload, documentation audits, and are a respectable team member, you qualify for a raise every year up to 5% depending on your review. The company overall really takes care of their employees. They're a bigger non-profit so the support was great in my experience. Benefits were alright for a single person like me. Management had our backs as long as we were doing our work. Someone was always willing to help if you needed it, too. -They try to keep your caseload numbers manageable. -Mileage reimbursement -You're able to flex your schedule if needed. If you work longer one day then you don't have to start early the next. -They give you a company cell phone (iPhone) and computer -Tons of on-going trainings that are useful for fieldwork and you get to travel to different cities for them if you like doing that type of thing. Some overnights in Indy required for trainings or meetings. -Office is nice -No productivity is measured. Just meet the youth on your caseload regularly, help them make progress, keep up with documentation, and you are golden. -Tons of holidays off and office snacks!

Cons

Having to work/communicate with County representatives and other serve providers can be chaotic. Some people do their job better and different than others so there was always a sense of judgement between those working on the same case. Don't let other service providers tell you how to do your job and don't do their job for them. You'll learn all about this and how to handle it if you accept the position. ADVICE: Just document everything (Save emails, phone logs, and texts) so you cover your butt if something goes down and someone tries blaming you for a mistake. -You are pretty much always on the clock, but thats just a given with this job. -Tons of miles on your own vehicle (They do have a company van if ever needed) -I would say you need a graduate degree to really grow with the company, but it also depends on experience -Pay was OKAY. There are some other places that pay more, but they lack the benefits SAFY provides. -So many changes to documentation and program requirements.

Pros

Coworkers are great, sometimes flexible schedules

Cons

High case loads of over 17 clients. Upper management offers no support. Foster parents are not punished for not upholding their end of contracts
