Pros

The students. Some of them were tough to work with but the ones who worked hard, it was awesome to see their progress. I met some awesome people (other tutors)

Cons

-the pay. The problem isn't the number. You know what it is going into it. It's the fact that for the work they expect from you, it's basically slave labor. You're getting barely minimum wage to work like a dog. If you're gonna make the pay that little, the job shouldn't be that demanding. -curriculum team. Incompetent. Stresses feedback but can't take it. The material they gave were full of mistakes. ended up making up our own material on our own time. -concerns. Like mentioned before, the importance of feedback was always brought up but upper management didn't like to take it. Our questions or concerns were either ignored or addressed with an attitude. -upper management. It's very obvious they couldn't care less about their employees or the students. When they came to visit they never said hello. They just walked around like they were too good to speak to us even though we carry their company. When they did open their mouths, they spoke to us like lowly children. Their Unprofessionalism is on another level from favoritism, to pettiness, and gossiping about one schools team to another. -high turnover. Almost half of my team quit before the end of the year because of how awful this place was. It sucks because the students suffered and we lost some good tutors who were burnt out. -unrealistic expectations. A lot of these students come to us on a 4th-6th grade level. Yet we're expected to teach them common core algebra. It's not impossible but we shouldn't be punished for not performing miracles
