Culture is amazing. The people there easily become your closest friends

The pay is lower than many other industries but on par with the outdoor industry.

All people I met at Salewa are great and kind, from the top management to the warehouse employees. It is a family run company and it really comes out in the company structure and values. The company was going through a period of rebranding at the time I was there, so learning about and experiencing this change of direction was for me a fantastic growth opportunity. They were and are really trying to appeal to a younger audience and to reinvent themselves, and all departments are on the same page about it. They are starting to focus more also on design and innovation, creating no longer just "another mountain clothing brand" but the mountaineering clothing brand for adventurous people, which is suer exciting: Working hours are normal, and most of the managers have good experience at managing people and be fair to all employees.

As it is a family business with strong values and attachment to the territory and "old" brand, the projects take a bit of time to go through, and sometimes there is a bit of resistance from the upper management to take decisions regarding changes of direction.
