I've watched really strong external talent come into this organization with aspirations to drive positive change and they have been completely stifled by the mentality that "we are doing it this way because we always have". This includes myself. Where I was once passionate about the work I did, coming to this company snuffed out any feeling of accomplishment or worth. Folks with close personal ties with senior leaders get the opportunity and thus the promotion. It's a game and completely disingenuous. I left this company feeling fatigued and sapped of passion.
