Pros
The vision to serve minority language communities around the world with language-related services is excellent. They use a holistic approach and the voice of each employee is appreciated. Everyone is highly motivated ad many have advanced degrees.
Cons
The company as a whole is financially dependent on its members, who raise their own financial support, and on other organizations to raise SIL project funds. A grass-roots ethos and strong partnerships with these other organizations has made this possible, but differences in vision and strategies among the members and the partner organizations make giving leadership a challenge.
