Pros
Countless opportunities to learn new technologies and apply them to customer use cases. Flexible work schedules. Coworkers are understanding of family appointments, vacations, and general day to day availability. Culture was great- many different walks of life and experience with different technologies. Fully utilized kitchen wofts in smells from different people's lunches.
Cons
They consider themselves Agile - but their own professional services and relations with customers makes following that methodology difficult. I'd say about 50% of the time they adhere to their sprint plans. Often required to work 50+ hours a week. Some balance is struck during summer months and the holiday season. Customer deadlines often come up that are seemingly impossible to hit. Continuously replenished keg helps the long nights sometimes required stressful startup is the best way to describe solomo. It's not for the faint of heart -- go work at cuna if this doesn't appeal to you. The development team thrives on the face paced startup mentality and it was easy to get integrated with them, but I've seen others that have not been able to run that quickly and get burned out
