Pros
I worked with some great nurses, and though we were all at our wits end we managed to work together as well as good be expected. I learned what a great nurse I am in the end.
Cons
First time in 10 years I've ever written a negative review, and for a workplace none the less. A "ministry," they call themselves. Upper management made promises and along with the company, harassed travelers to becoming employed with SSM. Besides the shady look of the contracts, they led us to believe we'd have flexibility in scheduling, and that was not the case. They hired people in batches so quickly everyone got worried of what we were getting into, then did the same with stopping contracts without enough notice to move us into other positions. They use this as a way to move their money for tax purposes. They could care less about their patients or employees. When nurses bring up ethical matters for patients, the male management brushes them off.
