Pros
This year marks my 7th year with STARS as an occupational therapist. STARS is owned and operated by a family who pays attention to the details. Every year we have a training where we are able to get much needed supplies for our students. There is a check-out library of multiple evaluation tools and more niche materials. STARS pays 100% into health, dental, vision and life insurance for the employee. I get $1,000 for continuing education each year which can take place in or out of state alongside company offered continuing education units. STARS will reimburse you for the necessary fees to maintain your license as well including CPR, fingerprint clearance cards, immunizations, national and state association fees on top of licensing fees. They offer a 401K and 125 Plan. There are two company sponsored parties each year, one that includes access to a resort water park, as well as money towards a vacation every 5 years. They are always supportive if I feel a need to call and check in and send little things in the mail for holidays or your birthday.
Cons
Sometimes when insurance switches I have to find new providers, but that is minor when 100% of premium is covered.
