Pros

I was fortunate to join in the early stages of opening their first location in the US, as it's allowed me to grow and share creatively in different areas of the business beyond my administrative role. Through this job I've been able to meet talented, world-renowned tattoo artists and learn about an industry I had no previous knowledge of.

Cons

Initially, there was an issue with internal structure and expectations from artists of the business that has since been re-assessed and re-defined, for the betterment of all parties. In my role, I deal with very minimal stress as our clients are happy with the work and service we provide, and the studio owners are chill and easy to work with.

Pros

There is nothing positive to say about Sashiko. Everything they promise is a lie!

Cons

Extremely toxic ownership and it's apparent why so many of their professional bridges are burned. They pay artists a poverty wage, all while the owners flaunt designer goods on social media. It was a constant fight to get paid correctly, and the owners acted like we were greedy or negative for expecting our earnings on time. They are willing to sacrifice their artists workflow, health, and well-being all for their stale "aesthetic." All corners are cut to help the owners pocket more as artists sought government assistance. Our contracts were breached on more than one occasion and multiple artists had to seek legal advise. Openly racist, sexist, and all around not a safe space! It is the worst studio I've worked at in my entire career.
