Pros
The facility is brand new and you have access to many advanced tools for semiconductor research.
Cons
Management is bloated. Countless Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, Associate Vice Presidents of innumerable different functions. Pay is not commensurate with other, more prestigious schools, in the area which the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering is striving to be compared with. The research is directed primarily to support the activities of the companies who rent space here. You feel more like a low-rent employee of these companies doing research which isn't very exciting. The curriculum is not challenging and the degree does not hold weight outside of the consortium of companies operating here. The faculty is VERY green and does not have much experience directing graduate students.
