Pros

A select few people that made work life worth it. They understood the struggle to work at a place like this. made the days bearable.

Cons

-"SaaS Markets maintains relationships with over 1,500 app providers." This is probably the funniest thing I've ever heard. Not only is this completely false, but it also unrealistic for a company our size and age. Get real, here. The person who believes and has said this is just as ignorant to continue working here. Perhaps it's fitting that they continue working there, after all. - People are rewarded for working long hours, not for working smart. - Can't always trust C-level because folks operate out of fear. 
-A company whose main service and revenue generator is building app stores for enterprises should have nothing LESS than a rock-solid platform. But, at SaaS Markets, you only have screen shots of what you hope your platform will be one day, and random interns QA and copy and pasting in the back-end. Can you guess? Our CEO is not a CTO nor techie by a long shot. 
-Incredibly d u m b, non-tech savvy people in this "billion dollar" SaaS industry. Makes working with them a pain. (This is how you copy and paste...)
 -In addition, most employees do not even understand the product and what kind of revenue (none) we are generating. Hence, why they're still there. Employees are sold on a LIE that these apps on the store have partnerships in place, when in reality it is the utter and complete opposite! Employees, start asking more questions! Don't believe statements until you have PROOF that they are indeed true. So far, I've been lied to constantly.
 -Absolutely no type of culture here. No one knows how to have fun as a start-up and collaborate. The ping pong table has cob webs. Sit at your desk and be careful what you say out loud. I assure you, everyone is intently listening. -Timed arrival and departure. Eyes are always on you.
 -C-level executives are the most unprofessional I've ever met. Gossiping, stirring up drama, throwing fellow employees under the bus in an all hands meeting, questioning your sick days. Environment makes you feel like you're in high school all over again and leaves you feeling like you have to constantly watch your back. -Constantly felt pressured from employees to side with their internal office drama. Called into office to talk about drama. ~ Any qualified c-level exec knows this is NOT the way for damage control in ANY business setting.
 -Small office, lots of drama. 
-Managers dont know how to manage. Lack of understanding and care towards their direct reports' work load.
 - CMO has absolutely NO marketing strategy in place. -CEO changes directions within a heartbeat.
 - Micromanagement! Managers will ask through other employees if you got your work done. No trust here.
 -Very narrow minded top-level mgmt. Some don't see how bad the company is actually doing. It's ok to have some hope, but how about you address the big issue here: your whole platform with these apps are flawed and illegal.

Pros

+ The idea of the store as well as the concept and product overall is good. + Typical startup perks: Free food, drinks, parties. + 10 days PTO + floating holidays. + Colleagues and managers for the most part were very nice. + Nice office. Top-notch hardware and software. + Pay is typical for a startup, but less than most companies.

Cons

- Company focus and ideas are in the wrong direction. Lots of time was wasted chasing after the pie in the sky ideas, and after the wrong type of clients and consumers. - Focusing on and fixing the obvious was ignored in favor of irrelevant and pointless projects while longstanding issues and problems were constantly ignored and left to fester. - Despite giving appearances of such, management did not listen to suggestions. - More of a stilted corporate environment than that of a startup. - Despite giving appearances of such, its very much a top down/trickle down management. - Zero and disallowed communication between the US and European offices beyond the CEO. Leads back to previous post on top-down management. - Very high employee turnover. Hardly anyone from the original team from one year ago is there. You will see lots of people quit during your time there. -No clear promotion or raise track for employees in some divisions and departments.
