Pros

Free lunch Commuting expenses covered

Cons

- The CEO is the problem in this company. He bad-mouths employees to other employees all the time, with threats and accusations of who he will fire next. - There is a constant change of direction and no clear roadmap of what the direction of the company is for the year or the next 6 months for that matter. - The CEO decided to roll out a new product (hardware and software). He insisted it be designed as he wanted despite the disagreement and then accused the team when all user testing results showed it was absolute nonsense. - CEO constantly dismisses anyone who raises a flag about potential issues based on facts and testing. Even external vendors are constantly being kicked out because he knows better. It’s never his fault. Always someone else messes up. He speaks about ownership but has no clue what it means. - The CPO knows nothing about technology and does absolutely nothing to learn either. He is chaotic and has no organizational skills. He is rude, condescending and runs directly to the CEO if any employee dares say they don't want to work overtime (again). The way the CPO speaks to employees is the way a bad teacher from the 1950's talked to a classroom. It's unbelievable that they think it's okay to behave like that and in any other company it would not be tolerated. - HR is trying their best, but they can’t do much. Unfortunately, bad behaviour and internal bullying is totally acceptable in the company and as long as the CEO agrees or is friendly with the bully. - All the company values are just for show, especially the “people first” one. That was made apparent when the CEO called a company-wide meeting and said that we are all expected to work overtime if someone tells us to (this happened shortly after the CPO complained to him that people declined a non-urgent meeting that he put after-hours since that was what suited him).
