Pros
There aren't many companies in Japan that handle data on the scale of Seify and provide video streaming services. The primary business model is solid, and subscription revenue is stable. They offer many trending technologies such as big data, video, IoT, networks, and AI as services. It's a legitimate IoT field, and because they handle a large number of physical devices, there are development experiences that cannot be found elsewhere.
Cons
The management of the development department is weak. Instead of teams for each function or solution, they are divided into front-end, back-end, devices, AI, etc., which makes the cost of developing a single function too high. They are struggling with recruitment, but there are a few measures focusing on external publicity and referrals, and their recognition is low even in Japan. Although problems can be felt everywhere, trial and error for organizational improvement are slow, and there is distrust towards the management of the development department.
