Pros

If you don't read the whole review, at least read this: I was able to secure a full-time position in the field and my experience from Sage was a huge selling point. The internship program brought together a great mix of people, from those just starting their careers to others pivoting from different fields, and everything felt organized and collaborative. I loved the hands-on experience and appreciated the flexibility to explore areas I was interested in—like social media, media relations, and research. The work felt meaningful, not just busywork. The team was also incredibly welcoming, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping us learn and grow. It was clear they wanted every intern to succeed, which made the experience even more rewarding. I’d highly recommend Sage Communications to anyone looking for an internship where you can gain real-world experience, grow your skills, and be part of a fantastic (and winning) team. The PR they teach in school only takes you so far, and Sage can help take you to the next step and into the industry.

Cons

You should have somewhat of an interest in topics related to the federal government and tech; otherwise, you might not enjoy the day-to-day (for what it's worth, I was familiar with it, but grew to really enjoy it). Also, Sage is a remote-first company, which isn’t for everyone, but they’ve perfected the WFH atmosphere and I never felt disconnected from the team.
