Beware of long hours to keep your head above water. - Account Executive Saia LTL Freight Employee Review

Pros

Company Car, Competitive Base Pay, good PTO. I had a great manager.

Cons

Not nearly enough customer service reps which leaves the Account Executive to manage all issues in your customer base. Customers spend hours on hold with customer service and have to wait at LEAST 24 hours to get a response via email. So what happens is that your customers come to you to resolve issues. Service was so terrible that I started almost every conversation with my customers with "I'm sorry"... There are so many issues (damages, lost freight, unprocessed freight, unwarranted reweighs, reclass, and added accessorials etc. that you spend the majority of your day correcting issues/problems instead of being out in front of customers. So overall, if you want to spend time out in the field with your customers and prospecting - plan on working after hours and weekends to get your admin/issues completed. Also, there are too many levels of management.

Pros

Benefits, pay, depending on who you talked to understanding.

Cons

No work life balance you live at work. Management sucked depending on the situation. They will act like they care but don’t. And will constantly rub it in your face we helped you a lot over the years. Oh and if you are female and get sexually harassed and report it well management will tell you to suck it up and deal with it.
