Pros
Many motivated students and instructors; supportive staff; good reputation; sense of camaraderie in good budget years; good support for daytime students/staff/instructors; variety of transfer, vocational, and enrichment programs and classes; beautiful campus; nearly adequate parking (only $120/year).
Cons
Too many buildings without enough staff; old boy network seems pervasive; untested, underprepared students; burned out staff from big overloads/large classes/lack of instructional and clerical support; lack of services and support for evening and weekend programs; focus shift during last 10 years or so to FTES rather than quality education; too many "managers" adding to existing bureaucracy; tendency to worship technology rather than knowledge/critical thinking; frequent failure to hire from within; increasing marginalization of part-time workers.
