-Old tech stack
-Poor raises
-Greedy management
To have a developer that gets a high score on yearly review earn just as much as one with a low score speaks volumes of the management in Poland. They say that the higher-ups from Israel do not allow for a higher budget for developers. Seems our bosses do not recognize that the whole company is built on the developer's work. Salaries need to be dynamically adjusted on a (at least) yearly basis to keep your developers satisfied. No benefits will make up for money. We do not feel appreciated as a group, how can you pay the same salary (after adjusting for inflation) for a new junior developer and pay slightly more for a regular (mid) developer? When you hire regulars or seniors, then their salaries are ok. But when you give promotions to your juniors, then it's terrible.
Last year any salary raises were cut due to COVID outburst. Meanwhile on company meetings managers were happy about our YOY growth. The audacity is out of this world. We keep earning more as a company, but we do not pay more to our employees. I've spoken to many Sapiens developers in Poland, they all felt like cattle being farmed for code. These ridiculously low raises were a disrespectful slap to the face. I'm looking for a new job already.
Sapiens has no idea how to keep their developers happy. More devs will speak out if this continues, I'm already done with this company, I pretended to happily accept the raise and I'm moving on.
