Pros
Pay and benefits are just okay, but for this position it's pretty good. It has routine, and routine. There are some good coworkers, and your job is pretty safe. Once you understand your job, it is really easy and simple to do.
Cons
Very repetitive. Once you understand your job, it is really easy and simple to do, with very little else to learn. Managements oversights main priority, when I use to work there, was was to squeeze every minute of productivity out of its workforce, despite everything outlined in the union contract. From what I've heard it has become worse. Also, lots of red tape and hours given to the company before you're considered for a properly promoted position. Everyone goes through this, but it takes years off your life before you even get something worthy. You could spend 5-7 years before they'll consider promoting you. However, once you've built up enough seniority those positions will open up.
