Competitive pay and friendly co-workers, company lunches, snacks, and flexible hours are just a few of the positives. Many opportunities to learn and gain experience with a wide range of technologies.

The consulting world is very dynamic and switching clients can occur at any time.

Pros

After starting my new job there were a lot of things I took for granted while working at Saturn Systems. The pay and benefits are great relative to the cost of living, the people that work there are technically minded and are likeable, upper level management really cares about day to day operations and are receptive to new ideas, the level of communication is right where it should be. The office is in the heart of downtown Duluth and the view is great. Everyone at work has a varied range of hobbies and you're sure to find someone to get along with, the senior programmers are very capable and will teach you a thing or two. There are tons of great perks like a bike to work program, snack room, end of year bonuses, monthly luncheons. You can telecommute a couple of days in the week, especially nice if it snows. If you're interested in getting your masters in computer science or getting certified Saturn will compensate you.

Cons

Typical IBM style mid level management stuff that you'll find at any consulting firm. What you do will highly depend on the clients you work for. If you're not sure of your capabilities as a programmer you'll find yourself struggling to add value to the company. Saturn has been burned by new hires in the past so as of right now they are looking for more experienced developers that want to settle down near the wilderness.
