Pros
-Our team has the most kind-hearted, down-to-earth, hardworking director to ever exist. You could literally not ask for a better boss. -I didn't know it was possible, but every single person on the math K-5 math team is TRULY wonderful. Everyone is supportive, non-judgmental and more than competent (it's truly the dream team). -BEST culture (and the culture is something that the higher-ups on our team try hard to protect and preserve). Work-life balance, family-first attitude, and no micro-managing. Flexible hours and fully remote (they do have an office if you prefer to work in person). -I feel truly respected by my superiors and co-workers. Nothing feels worse than when your hard work goes over-looked and under-appreciated, and that has never once happened at Savvas. -CEO truly cares about the company and it's employees. -STABILITY - a very low, if non-existent, turn-over rate on our team. This team has been together for a long time, and we're only growing.
Cons
-HR used the term "we are family here" during onboarding, but luckily the connotations with that phrase have never come about during my time at Savvas. If she said "we are a non-toxic, caring family", that would've been more accurate and less daunting. I can only speak on my experience with the K-5 editorial team, though (but it seems that way across the board because Savvas wins awards every year for employee satisfaction).
