Pros
Maintenance staff was excellent, always friendly and professional.
Cons
If you're comfortable selling high risk loans and repossessions make you want to high five because you have another home to sell, this company might be a good fit for you. I found its business model didn't align with my values. Get everything they say to you prior to taking the job in writing because everything is subject to change between the time you take the job and actually walk in the door. Expect to be lied to routinely by corporate - even in cases when those doing the lying know you know they are lying - and regardless of the lies' impacts upon you and your ability to do the job you were hired for. The workload was horrid and though everyone agreed they needed two of me, I was constantly derided for not getting everything done. Unable to take a break or on most days, even a breath. Expect to see a paltry 1-1.5% per home sale, while they make more than double the cost of the home on the loans, which they buy back immediately, but don't want disclosed. On some properties, expect to have to tell your renters 10 months into their 12 month lease that they either have to buy or move in 2 months. Another fact they don't disclose upon leasing on those properties though everyone knows it's the plan. Expect to have your hands tied on getting basic mundane tasks done because many aspects of basic mundane tasks have to be done at the corporate level, won't get done despite your requests, and the fact will hang you up. Expect to be accused of false advertising or, pulling a bait and switch by prospects because the price the company advertised on its website does not match what you've been told you need to rent the home for. Advertising is a top priority at corporate but correct pricing is not and sometimes, the real price will be hundreds of dollars more. Expect to have a lot of problems getting rental applications processed for the same/similar reasons and you - not them - will be be blamed though a lot falls out of your control. The handbook is skeleton. They leave a lot out in order to protect themselves and disadvantage their employees. What applies to one employee may not apply to you and that right to bias is the way the company wants it. It's a good enough job if you've little understanding (or care) of how the world works, don't mind putting the lives of others into crisis, don't mind being treated like a non-entity, don't mind having an ungodly amount of duties placed upon you, along with an unworkable workload, and don't mind trying to overcome all for scant pay, but otherwise, I advise you not to apply to this one.
