This company is spiraling downward and all they're doing to try and fix it is turning this place of employment into a dictatorship where you're executed if you make a small mistake. Any mistake you make (I'm talking spelling errors or being 10 minutes late, one time) will be held as grounds to fire you whenever they see fit, even if it's months later. Big red flags: several firings other than me over the last few months with a few more people quitting. The people at the top seem to be acting on fear that anyone talented who's making a positive impact in the company is a danger for their job, so they create reasons out of thin air to fire them. Also, there's a super weird and toxic power dynamic held by those at the top. A small handful of people in their 30s and 40s are managers and are in charge of mostly people fresh out of college. Ultimately these people don't respect the ones doing the grunt work and want to maintain their power. I don't know if it's unresolved trauma or something that's manifesting in the workplace but it's giving middle school principal vibes that are looking for a reason to give you detention in the form of a PIP. Word of advice - if you do make the mistake of working here, when you get a surprise "check in" meeting on your calendar at 7am about something minor, 6 months into working there, start looking for other employment.
On a very serious note this company is headed in a bad direction financially and your pay will probably reflect that. I had friends with unfulfilled bonuses that were previously promised. They are holding more and more 'pow wow' meetings to try and rile up morale but this is indicative of a company flailing out of control, and they're pushing all the wrong buttons to try and regain control.
