Pros

Friendly coworkers, convenient hours, everything is digitized/online, can clock in/out from app. Uniform shirts provided.

Cons

The training is the WORST. They call it "virtual classroom training". It consists of sitting in front of your computer with the guidebook they give you, and listening while an "instructor" shows and reads directly from a PowerPoint. The book they gave me did not go with the PowerPoint, slides were missing or had been changed, so it was confusing. Pay is minimum. They start at $8/hour, no benefits. The job you're doing would pay at least $18/hour if you were working directly for the hospital, because it is a VERY difficult job. You have to read the doctor's mind and fill in a template, and the doc won't actually go down the template in order - he jumps all over the place, so you're having to scroll up and down trying to keep up, because this is all live and real-time charting. You will be expected to be "independent within the chart" (which translates to, being an expert at the job) within three days. If you're not independent by day four, they start "separation" process (i.e. "You're fired.") Once you advance to being able to train others and open up new job sites, they'll pay your rent, but they won't pay for you to go back and visit your family.
