Unfair Policies - ER SCRIBE ScribeAmerica Employee Review

Pros

Work environment was the center of the medical field, and learning and networking opportunities were abundantly abundant. There was nothing better in the world than being a premed student working directly alongside experienced physicians.

Cons

Scribe America had a policy that allowed them to terminate anyone, for any or no reason, at any time. The site I worked at over-hired, and then the chief scribe terminated me while falsely accusing me of having an insufficient working pace and quality. Management "gave me a second chance" by putting me in probation by having the Quality Assurance Specialist watch over my work in real time. The QAS told me I was fine and had virtually no room for improvement, then I was terminated soon after. The physicians I worked with were alarmed to find out that I could no longer work with them after being the only scribe out of 12 that was asked on multiple occasions to stay past my working hours to assist the physicians during the time frame that no scribes were assigned to work (as proof that I was more than acceptable among my group). To make matters worse, they had another policy that prevents terminated employees from working at other scribing companies for one or two years (cannot remember exactly) after their termination.

Pros

Good clinical experience for those who are taking a gap year or preparing for medical school.

Cons

The onboarding and training process is going to take about 2 to 3 months for some locations.

Pros

I believe there's flexibility in some hours. Paid training.

Cons

My onboarding process has taken over 2 months and I've only clocked in for mandatory trainings with little to no communication from managers or hiring staff. $10 an hour.
