Pros
I learned some medical terminology and had a chance to shadow a neurologist that became useful for future jobs.
Cons
No benefits, pay was less than the legal minimum wage in my city, and had to deal with unprofessionalism and a lack of organixation from my employer. I was lied about working there full-time by the chief scribe, when upon being hired my hours were hardly over part-time. The chief scribe that was training me would use inappropriate language and had several times shown up to work late, which showed his lack of care for the job. Moreover, he had me skip the classroom training and had not followed procedures to give me proper feedback , as I found out later from higher-ups in the form of an email that subsequently got him fired. As a result, the neurologist told the project leader he was not pleased with the company's unprofessionalism and no longer wanted a scribe from them anymore. As a result, I had to wait later to find there was no doctor available in my area to help scribe and I subsequently had to be laid off from a superior.
