Pros

In all honesty, I can't think of much. Unless you consider that the classes portion of training was kind of fun and interesting and the teachers do a great job as a benefactor.

Cons

If the pay, lack of reliable hours, and lack of benefits wasn't enough to turn you away, there are certainly other reasons you would want to avoid this experience. The hiring process is a complete waste of time. It took me 4 months before I even started floor training which is actually ridiculous. For the record, I did everything I could as promptly as I could, and it still took that long. I also requested a full-time schedule from day one (first interview) and during those 4 months of onboarding, I was moved around to different departments/specialties 3 times. By the time I was nearing floor training, they said full-time was not available. Also, if you ever have any questions about the job, the response you almost always get 90% of the time is "it depends on your site/location" which does nothing to actually answer your questions. Also just for the record, the hiring/training process is consistent no matter where you are from in the United States so don't be thinking you might have a different experience.

Pros

Good clinical experience for those who are taking a gap year or preparing for medical school.

Cons

The onboarding and training process is going to take about 2 to 3 months for some locations.

Pros

I believe there's flexibility in some hours. Paid training.

Cons

My onboarding process has taken over 2 months and I've only clocked in for mandatory trainings with little to no communication from managers or hiring staff. $10 an hour.
